Q: When does Plan A/B coverage begin?
A: The policy year begins on August 14 and terminates on the same date the next year. Eligible students are able to enroll in the plan during the first 30 days of each semester.

Q: How do the plans work?
A: Plan A covers students inside the Student Health Care Center only. It covers expenses incurred such as prescriptions, medical supplies, lab tests, and x-rays up to a plan maximum of $1,000. Plan B operates in the same manner inside the Student Health Care Center, but also offers comprehensive coverage outside of the SHCC like a typical major medical plan. Plan B's coverage extends to anywhere in the world, 24 hours per day. Please consult the plan brochure for the specific conditions involved in each plan.

Q: Will I get a notice when my coverage begins and terminates?
A: No. Students who wish to confirm that their coverage has started should email us or call our Student Department at (352)377-2002, ext. 28. Also, it is completely incumbent on the student to make sure renewal payments are paid. The insurance company will not be liable for lapses in coverage. We strongly suggest you mark your calendar with your expiration date.

A: The most accurate way to find a preferred provider is to visit the http://www.summitholdings.com/. If you are unable to find sufficient information there, simply call our Student Department.
